Orthodox affiliate church. It belongs to the parish of the Protection of the Mother of God in Zdynia, in the Nowy Sącz deanery of the Przemyśl-Nowy Sącz diocese of the Polish Autocephalous Orthodox Church. The temple is located on the road to Gładyszów, about 500 m from the border with Slovakia. Wooden, oriented, triple church. The tower is upholstered with sheet metal, 3-storey, with a framework construction in the lower part and a skeletal structure in the upper part. The nave is square, boarded. Polygonal presbytery, partly boarded, in the back covered with sheet metal. Ridge roofs, tin roofs. Inside there is an iconostasis (with a rare, stepped arrangement of icons), brought from Sambor in 1912. The ceiling and the walls are covered with polychromes. Next to the temple is a cemetery with the headquarters of soldiers killed during World War I. Orthodox church of St. Basil the Great was built in 1903-1905 as a Greek Catholic temple. After the displacement of the Lemkos as part of the "Wisła" Action (1947), Roman Catholic masses for the settlers arrived sporadically. From 1957 (when some of the Lemkos returned to their homeland), church services were also started according to the Byzantine-Ukrainian rite, which lasted until the arrest of the Greek Catholic priest by the state authorities (1961). From then on, the faithful from Konieczna remained under the care of the Orthodox priests from Bartne. On July 29, 1969, the church was handed over to the Polish Autocephalous Orthodox Church as a branch temple of the parish in Zdynia established in 1967. Since then, the church has been renovated several times (after 1969, in 1996-1999, after 2004). On the basis of the Act of December 17, 2009 on the regulation of the legal status of some properties under the control of the Polish Autocephalous Orthodox Church, the temple became the exclusive property of this church. The patronage ceremony is celebrated on January 14 (according to the old style on January 1). The church was entered in the register of monuments on June 20, 1994 under No. A-747.
