Address: ul. Jana Kilińskiego , Grybów
The temple was built in 1909 on the site of an old synagogue. The synagogue was open until the beginning of 1941. Later, the Nazis ordered to close it, leading to its significant devastation. After the war, for many years, the synagogue housed a carpentry shop of the Municipal Enterprise of Housing and Housing, as well as craft workshops. In 2002, pursuant to the Restitution Act on Jewish Property, the synagogue was transferred to the Jewish Community in Kraków. Since then, the building has been abandoned. In 2007, the Jewish commune undertook to renovate it. The first stage of work ended at the end of April 2007. The roof was replaced and the building was protected against further damage. These works cost the Jewish commune about PLN 100,000. According to the president of the Jewish Religious Community in Kraków, Tadeusz Jakubowicz, the synagogue will in the future serve as a place for meetings, lectures and concerts, as well as a small museum dedicated to Grybów Jews. The synagogue is an object that is of historical value. It has been entered in the national register of immovable monuments. Its brick-built synagogue was erected on a rectangular plan in the Neo-Renaissance-Neo-Roman style. To this day, the exterior has been partially preserved, and on the eastern wall there is a recess for Aron ha-kodesh inside.
